Fionn Ruadh started playing bass at the age of 15, inspired by the bassists he was enthralled by at the time: Duff McKagan, Les Claypool, James Jamerson and John Entwhistle. Playing in various rock bands throughout his teenage years (include the short-lived Factory Shark), he was exposed to jazz when he attended Newpark Music Centre, Ireland's premier Jazz education program. He attended Berklee College of Music in 2015 and graduated two years later with a Degree in Performance. While in Boston he performed Rock, Pop, Afrobeat, Jazz, Funk, Gospel and Heavy Metal, with musicians from all parts of the globe and hopes to maintain a similar diversity in his playing.
Now based in Dublin, Fionn is excited to perform in as many musical contexts as possible. Whether on stage or in the studio, he is committed to being the most empathic, dynamic and complimentary bassist as possible.
